To create your cake stand, just go to the How To instructions in this blog for the Pumpkin Pie Plate Stand. This stand is basically the same except for 2 things, it does not have a top or cover and the rim on the cake plate base is down and is about 3 inches. The rim on the pie stand is up and is about an inch with a scalloped edge. All of the other instructions are the same except for the color and design choices you will make. You will also use the same materials and paints. If you want to you can also make your stand larger or smaller, and you can make the stand shorter or taller, depending on the cups and bowls you use.
